Anastasia State Park

Anastasia State Park in Florida, by far has been another one of my favorite places. The entire park was beautiful, and I was able to get into one of the more secluded areas because the size of my vehicle. Campsites were well shaded and spaced out, so we weren’t too close to our neighbors. But the best thing about this park was the beach.

Walkway to the beach

I spent a few hours on the beach in the afternoon and got back to my campsite right before dark. In the morning, spent around four hours walking the beach, picking up shells, and just enjoying the beauty. Not many people around so it was like a private beach 😊. Debated for a few hours on staying another night, but because it started raining again, I moved on.

yes, the beach 🙂

Anastasia State Park is a haven for wildlife. Abundant wading birds hunt for food along Salt Run, including colorful roseate spoonbills. Osprey and eagles rule the skies, and painted buntings and warblers often flit about the hammock forests.
