Vanfest

The Vanfest was in McCall Idaho at a private ranch and golf course. The night before I stayed at campground a few minutes from where we were meeting. I got lucky as that was the very last spot for the night, but grateful because there were rest rooms, showers, and electric again. In the morning I went for a quick walk and met those deer coming across the dam! 😊

The purpose was for van owners to connect, check out other vans, learn about products for vans, DYI van builds, and custom builds. It was a fantastic time and I met a lot of really great people that I hope to travel with, make travel plans together, or connect with again along the way.

This again was a test on what I may need for living in my van, what things I may need to change, or what might be needed for my next van if I don’t upgrade now. I had purchased some screens to temporarily put up while I was away from Colorado and glad, I did because we were out in a grassy field and the mosquitos were in full force. I had bought some large magnets and those worked to put it up for a temporary fix.

One of my new friends and I walked up to the lake and spent the day lounging on inner tubes. It was an amazing day until we walked down. It was so darn hot, I tested my shower in my van when we got back, it was the only way that I could cool off…
