Wandering Wildflower-Grounded

Remember when mentioned that I needed to have my ignition changed but had to leave for my conference before they would have the part. Well after a few wonderful days with Dave and Trish I was getting ready to leave for Myrtle Beach and head back up north, guess what? My van not only wouldn’t start it wouldn’t even turn over. The ignition cylinder finally ceased up and it wouldn’t budge.

I called around to several Ford service centers, and no one had any availability until several weeks out.  It was going into a weekend, and it was the beginning of the rumblings for the hurricane, so I moved my stuff into the house and settled in a bit more. Every day, several times a day I would try to get it started with no success.

On Monday, I went out to start the van and it started right up. We immediately took Wandering Wildflower to the hospital/service center. When we showed up in person, they couldn’t say turn us away.

However, we were told it would be several weeks before anyone could even look at it. So unfortunately, I gathered some things out of the van and packed it up to leave at the service center. No more nights with Wandering Wildflower for a while.

Little did I know how long it actually would be.
