Guard Our Hearts

PROVERBS 4:20-27

PROVERBS 4:20-27  My son (daughter), pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they (God’s Word) are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.

PROVERBS 4:20-27  CATHY’S THOUGHTS

  • Listen intently to the word of God
  • Keep the word of God in your heart and within your line of vision
  • Those very words of God are life and health to your entire being
  • Allow ONLY what God says goes into your heart, mind and soul
  • For everything you do in your life is a reflection of what you allow into your heart, mind, and soul
  • Do not speak foul language or swear (or take the Lords name in vain)
  • Do not talk about others or of evil or of doom
  • Keep your focus on Jesus and God All Mighty
  • Do not wander or put your focus on any other God
  • Allow God to guide every single decision that you make
  • Stand firm on what the word of God says and what He says to YOU
  • Stay on the path and don’t get distracted by shiny pennies (or false religions)
  • Keep the word of God in your heart to protect you from evil and from wandering
